The Seine River, Paris France
Streams become rivers,
Our lives move along faster.
We acquire knowledge,
As the current carries us.
We are the gateway,
Through which our lives are
charted.
Character is formed,
Negotiating rivers.
Neither joy nor stress,
Is contained in the river.
But how we respond,
Will result in one of them.
Rivers keep rolling,
As they follow the landscape.
And we encounter,
Calm water and swift rapids.
The river returns,
To its boundless whole.
And both we and the river,
Celebrate rebirth.
We can never sail,
Along the same river twice.
For both the river,
And we, have changed once again.
