Have you ever wondered if one of mankind’s significant discoveries, the number zero, is odd or even?
Numbers alternate between odd and even. The next number in sequence after 0 is odd, implying it’s even. But then again, the actor Zero Mostel was a bit odd and 0 is also a rather round, odd even number. If you have 8 odds and ends and sell 7 of them, are you left with an odd or an end? If you add two odd numbers, shouldn’t the sum also be odd?
And 0 can’t be nothing because it’s on every universal keyboard in the entire world. But occasionally it identifies as being zeeven which makes it special, just like everyone else. Zero must have value, since all calculations depend on it! It’s the even integer between -1 and +1. To whoever finally created 0, thanks for nothing!
