We experienced a minor power outage gut check in Jamestown today as we offer up support for the beautiful besieged people of Ukraine. They have demonstrated that the most powerful force in the universe remains LOVE—of God, Others, Country and Freedom.
The people of this world are
understanding that we cannot stand by on the sidelines while one power obsessed
man in control of a nation that has the ability to release devastating nuclear weapons
orders an unprovoked attack on a neighboring country. And these weapons could potentially destroy
all of humanity once the first one is launched.
The world watched this happen eighty
years ago before the development of the first nuclear bomb ended World War
II. Could one obsessed man that has
demonstrated little regard for human life now trigger such a holocaust and could
his country itself stand by and let it happen?
We’ve come to a very critical crossroad in human history. Can anything in this world stop it?
Albert Einstein wrote a letter
to his daughter Lieserl which was recently published. For all his brilliance and contributions to the
advancement of science that developed nuclear power, he shares his observation
of the ultimate universal force:
“When scientists looked for a unified theory of
the universe, they forgot the most powerful unseen force.
Love is Light, that enlightens those who give
and receive it.
Love is gravity, because it makes some people
feel attracted to others.
Love is power, because it multiplies the best we
have, and allows humanity not to be extinguished in their blind selfishness.
Love unfolds and reveals.
For love we live and die.
Love is God and God is Love…
If we want our species to survive, if we are to
find meaning in life, if we want to save the world and every sentient being
that inhabits it, love is the one and only answer...
When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, dear Lieserl, we will have affirmed that love conquers all, is able to transcend everything and anything, because love is the quintessence of life.”
The hope for humanity is to understand that we can only survive once we practice the eternal truth that the power of love trumps the love of power.
Love can also steel a resolve
to fight evil.
